THE SEPARATION OF QUEENSLAND.
London, December 13,
A leading member of the Queensland Separation League declares that he has been assured on good authority that ther. is not the slightest prospect of the Marquis of Ripon, Secretary of State for the Colonies, granting the separation of the colony until the Imperial Parliament has again discussed the question, and that it is very unlikely that the Cabinet will entertain the idea next session. Another member of the League considers it undesirable that a deputation should wait on the Marquis of Ripon ur,ul all parts of North Queensland Lave expressed a desire for territorial , separation, as the agitation at present lis too locaj,
