THE STOCK BILL.

Blenheim, this day. A vert large meeting of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held on Saturday to consider the Stock Bill. There was a general expreesion of opinion thab all the necessary stepß should be taken to stamp out disease wherever it occurs. After discussion the following resolutions were passed :—l. " That ib is desirable thab outbreaks of disease should be at once stamped oub by the slaughter of all diseased animals." 2. " That as this would be good for thfl whole community, the cost of destruction and reasonable compensation for stock destroyed should be paid tor oub of the Stock Department." 3. " Thab the minimum penalties should be struck out of the BUI, leaving each case to be decided on its merits."
