EXPORTS.
Per Essex, for New York :—3,083 cases kauri gum, 901 bales dressed flax. H.M.B. Rapid left Sydney on the 15th instant for New Caledonia. The brigantine Aratapu was loading at Newcastle last week for Giaborne. The American barque Essex, was cleared to-day for New York with flax and gum. The p.s. Coromanc'el will leave Auckland on Monday, 28th, afc !& p.m. instead of 8, as previously advertised. Mr C. J. Ciniez, chief officer of the ship Hermione, will take her hence home to England, vice Captain Parker. Captain Greenstreet, late of the R.M.s. Bimutaka, has been appointed to the command of the New Zealand Shipping Company's new steamer Ruahine, and it is probable that Captain Findlay, of the Ruapehu, will take the Rimutaka. The Ruar fame is to leave London in February, taking up the Tongariro's running, as the latter is to be laid up for repairs.
