BURSTING UP OF BIG ESTATES.

Adelaide, this day. In the House of Assembly the Lands Re-purchase Bill has been introduced. This is the first step of the Government policy to break up and prevent the re-accumulation of big estates. It provides for compulsory re-purchase whether the owners are willing or not, while the valuation shall be not more than 20 per cent, beyond the land tax assessment plus the value of improvements.
