Wellington, this day. The Land Board hold a special meeting to consider tho case of alleged dummyism in connection with section 76, block 6, of the Mangatiau settlement, Wairarapa. Crawford Anderson, ex-M.H.R., who applied for and secured the land, examined it, and found himself unable to carry oub the conditions. He applied for a transfer, which the Board refused, and the Commissioner advised him to carry out the improvements necessary under the Act. Dr. Fitchebt advanced money for the purpose, and the interesb nob being paid he had foreclosed on the mortgage. Further inquiry was adjourned.
