Palm Sunday Superstitions.
Vienna was on Sunday (the ' Daily News' correspondent says) ablossom with sprigs of the willow, its grey velvety shoots contrasting prettily wibh the green bhab Burrounded them. Thore is a firm belief among the people in the power ot bhese early messengers of spring. They are taken to the church to be blessed, and are then placed over bhe beds of bhe children and over bhe images of bhe sainbs in bhe living-room. The common people make bheir little ones swallow three of bhe small shoots to preserve them againsb danger of all kinds. The children are somebimes near suffocabion while bhe experimenb lasbs.
