Notices to Correspondents.
Te Ahoha Election. —We believe that any elector who is legally qualified as a voter for the Tβ Aroha electorate will be entitled to record his vote in the forthcoming election, irrespective of hie having voted in another electorate during the last general election. The question which the Returning Officer is required to put to a voter under the clause providing for single voting runs as follows :—" Have you already voted at the present election in any electoral district ?" In view of the facb that a sesaion of Parliament has been held since the last election took place, we do not see how " tho present election " could be construed as meaning the last general election. Of course it may be contended that the previous election for Te Aroha has been declared void, and the new one merely takes its place, but the Act apparently does nob make any provision for limiting voting in such special circumstances.
