THE TE AROHA ELECTION.
(To tho Editor.)
SJR, —Our colony at this present juncture requires experienced, proved, practical, Ghrißtian men aa much or more than ever. Such a gentleman wo have in Mr Alton, late M.P. for Kewcastle-under-Tyne, a man of means and morcy. His beloved wifo is a daughter of the late Aid. CandUsb, of Suticlm-land, several years M.l\ for that borough, a large employer of labour, of whom I can testify that) at his death his workpeople felt they had lost a father more than a master. As. Mr Allen's representatives aro now contesting the Te Aroha seat in his absence, please give a lift by inserting: this in your well-read paper in that district. —I am, etc., J.V. Gladstone-street, Auckland.
