WESTERN AUSTRALIA.

DELEGATES FAVOURABLY

RECEIVED.

London, January 30. Thk West Australian delegates have had a favourable interview with Lord Knutsford. Ex-Governors Bramston and Herbert were also present. The 3ili giving responsible government to Western Australia will be introduced directly Parliament meets. It is hoped the debate will be brief, because on the second reading the Bill will be referred to a committee.

In course of the interview, the management of the West Australian goldfields was fully discussed with the view of preventing inconvenience from a division of the colony, for land legislative purposes, and Lord Knutsford seemed highly favourable.
