Letters received by the Zealandia state that in all probability Mr Charles Santley would sail for Auckland by the Waihora, which was to leave Sydney on 30th inst. When the mail left the great baribone was in bho middle of his third season in Melbourne. The Town Hall was thronged whenever he appeared, and his singing created a furore. Ab one concert, after Gounod's " Vulcan's Song," he was recalled five times.
