HOTEL AND STOCK BURNT;
TRAVELLING JEWELLER INJURED,
LOSS OF HIS STOCK

. Reebton, this da Akoher's hotel ond store, and Ferris! store, both at Boatmen'B, were burnt down at five o'clock this morning. Archer's ia a total loss on building and stock, Ferris had a small quantity of stock saved, •■ The building and the bulk of the donbentß were destroyed, Aroher was insured for JE2SO eaoh in the Standard,; Norwioh Union, Phoenix and Colonial; Ferris' insurance has not yet been ascertained, Ib is believed the total amount does net exceed -£400, Aroher was in Roofton at the time, attending a County Council meet ing,' A lodger named Tinder, a travelling Jeweller well*bnowi» -;on the coast; was brought, into the' hospital suffering from severe burns, Hei was sleeping,at Aroher's when the building waa in flamoß,
bub he awoke, and by placing a coat on his head he managed t0... rush through the blazing passage. His injuries, though severe, are not dangerous."'He lost the whole of his stock of jewellery^ Gallagher Bros', store adjoining Ferris', was saved by a miracle. The fire originated in Archer'a and beyond thia nothing ia known.
