Don, the winner of Great Northern Steeplechase has been* disposed of to Mr A. E. Harris, and that gentleman, who leaves for Sydney this evening in the s.s. Rotomahana, bakes bhe horse wibh him. Messrs R. Blaikie and J. Enko, the well-known local pencillers, also go over in the Rotomahana on a pleasure trip. Mr Blaikie is taking his well-known trotter Sydney and a couple of racing ponies. There is general regret in sporting circles at the departure of Mr A. E. Isaacs for Sydney. He has always been in the front rank in promoting sport of ail kinds, and his place will be hard to fill. The Napier Park Steeplechase is run tomorrow. The acceptances will be found on page three, and also the weights for the Melbourae Cup.
