The Board of Reviewers for City South (Messrs S. Y. Collins, J. Newman, and F. It.. Claude) meb to-day to "hear objections. Messrs T. Seaman and J. Bollard represented bhe Property Tax Department. Mr J. Courtney, property in Howe-streeb, £450. A reducbion of £50 was offered, bub Mr Courbney wanted a reduction to £250. Mr Seaman said bhe properby was worbh £430. Reduced bo £350. Mr Courbney said bhab bhe Governmenb would have to sue him for his baxabiou.

Alfred Adams, properby in Grey-sbreeb, £275. Mr Duke objecbed, and ib was reduced to £150.

William Adams, assessed ab £6,000. A reducbion of £500 was offered. Reduced to £5,250.

Mr W. Adams, properby in Grey-sbreeb, £850. A reduction of £50 was offered, which tbe Board sustained.

Jessie Prime, properby in Grey-sbreeb, assessed ab £650, reduced bo £600.

M. J. Bennebb, properby in Drake-sbreet, £500. Mr Bennett stated that the property was a very old one, and ib was reduced to £400.

Air Brown, leasehold properby in Greystreet, £1,165. Mr Bollard recommended bhab bhis should be reduced bo £500. Another leasehold was reduced from £6lio bo £400.

John Castles, property in Grey-street, £75G. Mr Seaman recommended a reducbion of £75, bub Mr Castles wanted a further reducbion and he would let the Governmenb have the properby for £600. Reduced bo £600. B. Cranwell, leasehold in Queen-i_ ,b, £600. Mr Cranwell objecbed, !•• he valuation was susbained. Maurice Foley, property in Baker-streeb, £260. Mr Seaman offered a reducbion of £20. Mr Foley wanted ifc assessed at £200 ; be would sell bhe properby now for-'"3O. Reduced bo £200. James Edward Gilbert, property in Moreton-street, £300. Mr Seaman offered a reduction of £25. Mr Gilbert wanted ib assessed ab £250. The Board made bhe price £275.

R. D. Giles, properby in Pagob-sbreeb, £280. Mr Seaman explained bhe properby, bub Mr Giles said bhe land was worbh £3 per foob, and bhe house was nob worbh £20. The valuers recommended a reducbion of £55, which was sustained—£22s.

Rebecca Goldwater, property in Greysbreeb, £1,580. The Commissioner had reduced bhe assessment by £280, and fche valuer recommended a furbher reduction of £180. Mr Goldwater wanbed more, sbabing bhe price was high and he would take £1,000 lor ib. Mr Seaman explained the property and buildings. Valuabion ab £1,200 susbained.

Joseph Grant, property in Drake-street, £650. The Commissioner reduced the property by £50, and the valuers recommended another £100. Mr Soaman said ib was a fair valuabion, bub Mr Grant wanbed further reducbions ; he said some of bhe houses were a burden bo him. Reduced to £450.

F. L. Prime, properby in Uriion-street, £170. Reduced to £130.

Mary Ann Greenwood,' property in Greysbreet, £1,160. Reduced by £110 to £1,050.

John Harper, properby in Pratb-street, £60. Mr Seaman valued bhe properby ab 30s per foot. Mr Harper said he would bake 25s per foob for bhe properby. Reduced to £45.

Barbarina R. Harrison, property assessed at £330. Mr Bollard said a mistake had been made in this iiroperty and bhey would reduce it bo £230, which was accepbed. J. W. James, properby in Grey-street, £600. A reduction of £50 was accepted. J. W. James, propei'ty in Ponsonby ltoad, £1,100. A reduction of £100 was accepbed.

Ralph Keesing, leasehold properby in Union and Sale-sbreebs, £160. Mr Keesing objected, sfcabing tbat very little rent was got from the bouses, that he had had tenants, but when the agents went for the rent fche benants had always gone. Reduced to £100.

Jane Kother, properby in Sale-sbreeb, £220. A reduction of £20 was offered, but objected to by Mr Kobher, who said bhab 17 years ago bhe houses were boughb for£lßo. He would ieb fche Governmenb bake bhe properby for £150 wibh bhe ben per cenb. Reduced bo £175.

John Lcpine, propei'ty in Cook-street, £325. Mr Lepine objecbed to the valuation, bub when he explained his valuabion it amounted to £328. Valuation sustained. John Lepine, property in Union-street, £300, which was objected to by Mr Lepine, who valued ifc at £3 15s per foot, while the assessors priced it ab £4 10s. Reduced to £275. Mary Ann Mills, properby in Grey-street, £900. Mr Seaman offered a reducbion of £100, bub Mr Duke objected to ib. Reduced bo £7uo. Sbephen H. Moulden, properby in Lower Vincenb-sbreeb, £650. Reduced by £100, which was accepbed.

John McEtwain, Properby in Grey-sbreeb, £1,050. A reducbion of £100 was accepbed.

Richard Mackay, properby in Beresfordsbreeb, £40. Mr Mackay objecbed, and ib was reduced to £33.

Johannah O'Sullivan, property in Upper Queen-street, £1,650. Mr Armstrong appeared for the owner and objected to it. , Reduced to £1,500. Johannah O'Sullivan, property in Cook and Hobson-streets, £1,450. Mr Armsbrong asked for a reducbion bo £1,250. Reduced bo £1,400.

Esther Neumegen, property in Greystreet, £800. Mr Neumegen asked for a reduction. Reduced to £700.

L. H. Neumegen, property in Cookstreet, £790. The Commissioners offered a reduction of £75. Reduced bo £450.

L. H. Neumegen, leasehold property in Cook-street, £1,800. The Commissioners offered a reduction of £300, but Mr Neumegen said he couldn't let bhe place for 30s a week, and bhe Bench reduced it to £1,000.

John Probert, property in Wellesleystreeb, £3,750. Mr Seaman said he thought bhe prices were low. Mr Probert objected to the valuation as excessive. Reduced to £3,700.
