Dinnison, Justices.)

Drunkenness.—Two first offenders wer 6 each fined ss, or in default 2-i hours' nard labour. Catherine Taylor was remanded for medical treatment.

Breaches of By-laws.—Mary Wynn was charged >vith having allowed her cow to stray at Devonport—Mr Hugh Shortland appeared for defendant, and phaded guilty. He asked that the defendant should be treated leniently, as it was a breaking cow, and would get oat. — Mr Crowther said that was rather a lame story, and inflicted a fine of 53 and costs. — Angus Sutherland was fined 5s and costs for a similar breach of the by-laws.—Alex-ander Alison was also fined 5s and costs for allowing 5 horses to stray at Devonport.
