The s.s. Wainui is now loading up a^ the Quay-street jetty with general freight for Tonga and Samoa, for which groups she sails on Monday next. The reason of fchs Union Steamship Co., in replacing the s.s. Mawhera by fcho Wainui in the Samoan trade, is that the latter vessel has more steaming power and is a faster bout than the Mawhera
