PROPOSED LOAN OF £75,000,

Wellington, this day. The Finance Committee of the City Council have drawn up a report show.,^- a surplus of £4,500 for the year and recommending a new loan of £75,000, of winch £15,000 is to be expended on drainage works, £4,000 on a new cemetery, £17,000 on a town hall and the remainder mostly on street construction. The Council will consider the proposal on Friday. The new system of collecting householders' rubbish with bell and cart and conveying it to the destructor begins fchi3 morning.
