When a couple think of getting married, and have finally ..elected the dovecot—l moan the villa they mean to occupy—tho important question of furnishing comes up. ..'ro.poctivo mothers in law i.,ay be expected to givo good advico (and as a general rule very little else), and after setbling the colour of tiie carpets, upholstery, perambulator, <_c, they are pretty sure to throw in a bottle of St. Jacobs Oil. The reasons are many and various. Headache, toothache, back-ache, ear-ache, in fact the whole family of aches, find no quarter in a hou.o where St. Jacobs Oil, love ; and kisses reigns supremo ; and many a couple who .ut'br eternally from the lessor evils that flesh is heir to, only do so because they do not use a remedy as old as the hills, and a. suro in its action as a Bank of England note when the bailiffs aro in.
