A diagnosis jfollowed, and it was discpvered .that Cullman had for some time been a sufferer from Bright's disease of thekidneyp. Th^ ;exudations of the albumen from ,thes«!, organs caused ursemie blood-ppisoning, which gradually pervaded the whole Bysteinj of the sufferer. Step by step the disease spread, and contraction of the kiclneys fol» lowed, resulting in inflammation' of the iretina or opticherve, hopelessly destroying the , sight for ever.. The case although not an' isolated one, is extremely Tare, deiath ally ensuing before such crisis arriyes. As [it is, ppor Cullman's days are numbered, and he can scarcely survive a month.
