Recent failures in the Yorkshir c woollen trade have weakened the demand for wool, excepting in choice sorts, for which there is a steady demand. Mutton tallow is quoted at 27s to 27s 6d; hides, V to 4^d. The market for kauri gum is unaltered, and sugar is quiet. •
