BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDINGS.

JOHN CODLING'S CREDITORS.

A meeting of the creditors in the estate of John Codling was held at the office of the Official Assignee this morning. Present: The debtor and his solicitor (Mr Thorne), Mesers Carr (trustees in Macky's estate), Tanfield, and Morey (Bank of New Zealand).

Mr Lawson read a memorandum fiim Messrs Hellaby, creditors for £211. They stated that they were convinced that the debtors bankruptcy was due to depression of trade, and that they had much pleasure in recommending his discharge. On the motion of Mr Carr, seconded by Mr Tanfield, it was resolved " That provided the debtor do his utmost in assisting the Official Assignee in the realisation of his estate, tho creditors request that his discharge be facilitated."
