The threa-masted schooner Jeesle. from LitwltoDT anchored off the North Head last evening, and thia morninc she came up the hlrbour, and berthed at the Hallway Wharf, Ruxton reports have made the passage Ji iidavs during which ihe weather exstormy, and aimllar to that encountered by the barque Prebto.
The schooner Sybil arrived from an island cruise thia afternoon, and anchored off Uw Bast on. Sne left Barotonfca on August 18, and iatality appear in another column.
The 8 8. Kahu arrived from Napier Jaat even Ing. with 475 sheep 25 haying boen Joat during the trip. Very bad weather waa experienced on too voyage, and the steamer had to sheltfr at intermedia to ports. The Kaha is to take up the trade between Napier, Gisbome, and this port. To morrow she will undergo inspection here, and probably return South during the evening. The Kahu i 9 in charge of Captain Romaiill, formerly master of the schooner darah Pile. The hrigantino D'Arcy Pratt left Oamaru on September 1, a"nd experionecdfre eh and variable wlndß until the 7th, when r. heavy gale set in from N.N.E., and continued for three daye. On the 13th another heavy Kale, wind varying from N X to WiS.W.. was experienced, and lasted till the lito. Thence till arrival fresh W. and B.W. winds prevailed. The D'Arcy Pratt came up harbour this mcrmlng, and berthed at the Railway Wharf. The barque Presto berthed at Queen-flireet Wharf last evening. Captain Laldman repor a: Lef'. Lyttelton on September 3 Had a light southerly wind ti Portland on the 7ih. when a heavy N.N.E gale and heavy sea wore encountered, and lasted until (he 10th Stiod Into Hawke a Bay for shelter, nnd thence had light and VAiiable airs till tne llth, whan Kast Cape was passed on the 12th. A gul < came on from the westward, accompaniod by thunder and lightnlnur, and Jaited for 24 hours. On the 13th a heavy easterly k»l° was experienced, but moderated on the following day, when light southerly winds set in and continued till arrival here.
