Competitive Designß are invited for a Building to bo erected on the Government Reserve, corner of Customs and Albert-streets, Auckland, suitable for the accommodation of the Customs, Land, and Native Departments of that city. The cost of the Building Is not to exceed twolvo thousand pounds sterling (£12.000). No plan will bo approved until the tender for it is accepted, and tho tender will be only accepted after the expenditure is authorised by Parliament. A premium of one hundred pounds (£100) will be given for tho plan approved, which will then become the property of the Government. The Government will not necessarily be bound to employ the same architect on the construction of tho building. Tho Government Reserve is two hundred and fifty links (250 links) facing Customs-street, and one hundred and twenty-five links (125 links) to Albert-street. Tho designs are to be addressed to the Commiasioner of Customß. Wellington, and to bo Bent in on or bofore the Ist June. 1885.
