The Treasurer intends to wait on tho <lovernor immediately after lunch in response to the summons for the formation of a new Ministry. Nothing authoritative has yet transpired but it is believed that Major Atkinson will merely recommend for the present a redistribution of portfolios among tho previous member* of the Ministry without adding any "now bloods." It is considered that Auckland districts w ill bo shown a preference with regard to nny future protection, nnd the names of Messrs Peacock and Hwnnson are freely mentioned as tho.»o who are most likely to bo ultimately chosen.
Major Atkinson has not yet submitted tho names of tho Now Ministry to tho
