CahBRIDOE, this day. A KATIVB disturbance of a somewhat serious nature has broken out at Waotu. Piripiri Whfttuaio, head of Ngatingaronga tribe, .against whom tho decision in the Waotu case bofore tho recent Land Court was .riven haying failed to obtain a re-hearing o( the case, has gone on to the Block with his followers with tho object of ousting Harry Simmonds and his people, who arc at present in possession. They commenced by discing trenches across SiminonUsn private roads through tho block, and felling trees across the road through tho bush, brintnn" the timber-cutting operations to a standstill. Simmonds being a very inielli"ont law-abiding nativo, though his ollowers far out-numbor tho aggressors, lias resorted to the civil law for wttlement of the question.
