Fighting In Ashantee.-King Coffee Defeated.
London, September 19. News has been received from the West Coast of Africa that tribal hostilities have again broken out in Ashantee. A sever battle has been fought at Coomassie resulting in the defeat of the adherents of King Calcalli, who suffered great slaughter and has been compelled to retreat from th' capital towards the country occupied by the Tamams one of the tribes who are opposed to the King. At the wool sale to-day 9,200 bales were offered. No material change was ex perienced, but the market is, if anything weaker. Fleece and scoured wools are now one halfpenny lower than at the close of the last auction.
