Salvationist Demonstration,
"Major" Barker and Mrs Barker, of the Salvation Army, arrived by steamer from Lyttelton at 1.15 this afternoon. They were met by the officers of the local "Army" and driven to tho barracks, where a formal welcome took place. To-morrow, Mrs Barker will present the colours to the corps, and tho event will be celebrated by a monster tea-fight.
