The volunteers who mean to attend the Easter review at To Awamutu, will leave Auckland in a special train at half-past nine on Easter Sunday morning, and Tc Awamutu at mid-night on Monday.

Swanson, member for Newton, a work of considerable importance to tho residents in the neighbourhood of Cox's Creek is about to bo undertaken by the Government. Tenders arc now invited by the Public Works Engineer for a brigde over Cox's Creek, from Mr Wi"iam Mason's nursery gardens on one side, to Wilson's property on the other. It will be a wooden bridee. erected on piles, and will be of five spans of twenty feet each. The width of the road will be fourteen feet. No time will be lest in proceeding with the work, which must be completed four months after acceptance of tender. It is oxpected to be ready tor use about the end of August. We understand that Mr Swanson has been instrumental in having this work undertaken out of the vote passed by the General Assembly for roads and bridges north of Auckland.
