, ■■•' j August 29. General Clark joined Sir Garnet Wolesley at Ulundi, the site of Cetawayo's principal kraal, burned by General Lord Chelmsford on the 11th August. The Chiefs Submitting. The Zulu chiefs are coming in and submitting to the British Government. Cetawayo, however, vacillates as to whether to surrender or retire in sullen isolation tohismountain fastnesses, whither the British forces will pursue him. The prospects of an early close of the war are cheering. LONDON. August 29. Sir Rowland Hill was buried in Westminster Abbey. The Zulu War. Latest Cape news states Clark's column is accompanied by General Wolseley to Ulundini. On the 22nd Russell's column reached Euhlongana, which they fortified. Everything is quiet. The Zulus have dispersed to their homes. Negotiations are continued with the principal chiefs, who have promised submission. Cetewayo is in the vicinity of Euhlongaua. :
