The Haurakl is 72 tons register, draws (loaded) only six feet, and is driven by two direct acting, high-pressure, surface condensing Engines of 30 horse-power (nominal). Her Boilers (two, multitubalar) are in flrat-rate condition, having lately undergone a thorough overhaul. She is a remarkably good sea-boat, and from her wellknown steadiness in the water is admirably adapted for Carrying Live Stock, for the rupid and easy Shipping and Unshipping of which she is provided witn a splendid Double cylinder Steam Winch, which, together with the whole of her Machinery, is in perfect working order.
