MESSRS HARRIS AND HAMLIN AT WAIROA.

On Thursday nk'ht Messrs Harris and Hamlin met the electors at Wairoa. There was a large attendance, Mr James Bell, J.P., in the chair. After both candidates had addressed the electors, questions were put by Messrs Thorpe, Wilson, and others Mr D. Crawford moved and Mr Thorpe seconded a vote of thanks. An amendment of a vote of couiidence was proposed. The latter was carried by a majority of 19.
