NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. ESCAPED PRISONERS.
Hall and Binacki again escaped from gaol this morning and have uot yet beeu recaptured. They escaped in the same manner as they did a fortnight ago.

TROUBLE ON THE WEST COAST.
Native affairs are again beginning to look serious. Te Whiti, presuming from the tardiness of the Government that they are afraid of taking any active measures against him, is encouraging the Maories in that belief. Hardly any warriors who went to Parihaka have returned. It is stated they are going to build forts on the plains and in the event of any action being taken by the pakeha against them, they will retaliate. Tho prisoners, according to Te Whiti's view, will be released in October, the time when, as he prophesies, the Sou of God is again to appear on earth aud confound Te Whiti's enemies.
DUNEDIN, this day. A fire occurrcdat Walker-street yesterday afternoon in an old wooden building used as cooperage. It was burnt to the ground. Tho insurance on the building is £150 in the Loudon and Lancashire. The stock is uninsured.
Church-goers are greatly annoyed at Mr Proudfoot causing thirty men to work on Sunday improving the tramway lines. FISHERIES PROSECUTION. A prosecution under the Fisheries Act was instituted yesterday against Jno. Tunage for having a number of flounders for sale below the regulation size. Judgment was reserved.
