To the Editor: Sir,— Dr Wallis, in his first address to the electors of Auckland City West, made special reference to the speech ' tit' Mr Barton on the no-confidence motion in the House of Representatives last month; as containing disclosures of a start] ing no tare respecting the administration of justice in our Courts. As little or no notice has been, taken of that speech by the Auckland papers, Dr Wallis is entitled to the thanks of the community for having called their attention to it. It is the best defence of Sir George Grey, not excepting that contained in Sir George's own speech on the occasion, and it throws much light on the difficulties by which his path, as Premier, has becu beset from his entrance upon office. At the pvescut momentous crisis, while the life of the colony from death by the accumulated corruption of live and' twenty yea rs, lies trembling in the balance, duty to your 10,000 readers enjoins that you should publish in o.\tenso in your columns without delay both speeches for their information and instruction, and it would be still better if the Central Committee just formed went to the expense of having them printed in pamphlet form and distributed amongst allthe electors within this proviucial District.. —ISONOMIST. .-.;
