Two Fires at Wanganui.

WANGANUI, this day. A FIRE occurred and destroyed Barlow's boarding-house, Victoria Avenue. Barlow's family and 20 lodgers lost everything. There is nothing to show how the lire originated. Mr Spriggous' house and shop, next door, was in flames, but thu brigade got it under. The house was insured for £200, and the furniture for £25. Mr Spriggens' stock for £750, The Transatlantic loses £450, and the South British £300. The stock was considerably damaged by fire aud water.
Another lire occurred at two o'clock this morniug iv a new two-storey dwelling house at Durie Town, on the south side of the river. The owner, Mr Armstrong, and f<\mity lost everything, barely escaping with their lives. Ine fire broke out upstairs. The origin is a mystery. The furniture isinsured in the Liverpool, London, and Globe (or. ilSO^and building in Norwich Union for £450.
