ARRIVAL OF THE CITY OF SYDNEY.

The mail steamer City of Sydney arrived shortly before seven o'clock last evening from Honolulu and San Francisco. Since tho last trip, Mr D. E. Brewster has succeeded Mr Howard as purser, We aro indebted to the courtesy of Mr Brewster for the prompt delivery of our files, report, Sec. The following is the report of the passage:—Tho P.M.s.s. City of Sydney, Captain H. C. Dearborne, left San Francisco at 2.50 p.m. of May 13, and arrived at Honolulu on the 21st. Discharged passengers, mails, and cargo, and resumed the voyage at 1.50 p.m. the same day. To Honolulu experienced fine weather, with light N. and N.E. wihds thence to Sdeg. jN. ; N.E. trades, ultimately light airs to 12deg. S. Thence to making land fresh S.W, and W.S.W. winds, having had no S.E. trades. She brought 350 ton - cargo, 26 passengers, and 270 bags mails for New Zealand.besides the following passengers:—Saloon : Colonel G. W. Rosewilt and wife, Mrs F. G. Guy, Misses A. A, and M. Buckland, Holmes (2), and J. S. Butler : Messrs. H W. Fry, Thomas BuckUnd, D. and G. G. Holmes, A. P. Patton, T. M. Dawson, C S. Butterworth. Thomas Young.
