AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET.

Mr Alfred Buckland's weekly reporb.— At the Haymarket, on Friday last, there was no alteration in the price of fodder. The horse stock sold at the auction were mostly lowpriced, varying from £3 to £15 ; privately, a draught horse was sold for £66, mare and foal £55. The sale of hides and skins, held in the afternoon, was also fully attended, and with good results. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cows were in limited numbers and at late values. Store cattle in short supply, but in demand, and slightly better worth. Fat cattle in averaga numbers ; 114 head sold. Throughout the greater part of the sale last week's values ruled, but a slight improvement was obtained towards the end of the auction. Fat sheep were in moderate supply, and in demand at last week's values. Lambs numerous, but; in request, and maintained their price. Store sheep in limited numbers, with many buyers.

Mr E. Arthur's sale of poultry took place this morning. The following were the prices realised : — Fowls, 2s Gd to 3a Id each ; Brahmas, Sa 2d each ; geese, 3s 4d to 4s each ; pigeons, Is Id each. The schooner Albatros3 arrived early this morning from Whangapoua with 50,000 feet timber for Mr C. A. Harris.
