Mr. O'Shea reports :—Flour, £13 to £13 10s.; oatmeal, 265.; bran, Is. 6d. to Is. 7d.; potatoes, Bs. to 9s. ; barley, ss. to 6s ; wheat (milling, none chick), 3s. 9d. to 4s. 4d. ; oats, 6s. to 6s. 6d.; ham (scarce), Is. 2d. ; bacon, Is. ; cheese, 9Jd. The Rev John Chapman Andrew, Rev Donald McNaughton Stewart,. D.D., Hon. William Gisborne, and Theophilus Heale, have been gazetted Fellows of the University of New Zealand. The provincial land Bold from the Ist to the 11th inst. amounts to 12,000 acres rural, and 14,000 acres pastoral. The cash received at the effice during the same period was £12 737 Mr Duncan sold at auction :—2OO cases of Tennent's ale, at 11s ; 50 cases of Jeffrey's stone, at 10s 9d to 11s ; Jeffrey's glass, 10s ; Salt's, 10s 6d ; Blood's, 9a 3d ; Arroll's ale only reached 8s ; Columbia salmon, Us 6d to 12s, pound tins. The Governor leaves Wellington finally in his yacht at 5 p.m. on Monday next. He proceeds to Auckland and awaits Lord Normandy there. There are no nominations for the Duneam Cup from Melbourne. Captain Wales does not intend competing for a place in the colonial firing this year.
