AGRICULTURAL EXHIBITION AT CHRISTCHURCH.

The Metropolitan Agricultural Exhibition to-day was a great success. The weather was glorious, and there was an immense attendance—24o exhibitors of sheep, 94 of cattle, 114 of horses, 15 of pigs, 19 of poultry, 14 of dogs, 47 of implements, 27 of dairy produce, and 51 of local mauufactures. The sheep, horses, cattle, and implements were of splendid quality, and there was close competition in every class. Sutton Bros , of Southland, took the champion medal for Lincoln rams.

Nearly £600 were taken in shillings at the gates of the Agricultural Show yesterday. Quotations free on board at Lyttelton : —wheat, 5s 3d to 5s Cd ; oats, 6"s ; Hour, £12 10a to £13 10s ; bran, £6 10s ; pollard, £6 5s ; sharps, £7 ; cheese, 8d ; potatoes, 9s to 10s. Millers stocks low. A rise in flour is expected. !-. The Metropolitan races were continued today. Glorious weather, and a large attendance.
