SIR, —I beg room in your valuable columns to contradict a statement which appeared in your issue of last evening" with reference to opposition offered to the granting of a license to Mr. Haughton by the Hotelkeepers of Queen street. The article in question distinctly limits the said opposition to the endeavours of one " publican only," which is so far in errcr that a very small inquiry into matter would prove the said opposition to have emanated from as much as half a dozen others.
