WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

DUVAUCHELLE BRANCH

The monthly meeting of the Duvauchelle Womens' Institute was held in the Barrys Bay Hall recently, Mrs W. Weir presiding. Several members decided to attend the half-yearly meeting to be held at Darfield. During the afternoon an interesting talk was given by Mr E. C. TVebb on the "Panama Canal." - Competitions resulted as follows; • Best Bloom—Miss M. Stewart 1, Mrs R. Stewart 2, Miss M. Haylock 3. Three best sticks of rhubarb —Mrs W. Weir 1, Miss M. Mould 2, Mrs T. Le Comte 3. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs E. Giddens and Miss M. Haylock.
