REBEL LEADERS SHOT.
THE FINAL SURRENDER.
LONDON, May 3
Pearsc Clarke and Macdonagh the signatories to the Republican proclamation have been courtmartialled and shot in Cork. The Sinn Feiners received an ultimatum to surrender to the army at noon on Saturday. The troops placed machine guns in sight of the Sinn Fein headquarters in Mile street and waited the turn of events. Meanwhile the Roman Catholic bishop and Lord Mayor drove up at midnight and had interviews with the Sinn Feiners. The parley lasted four hours until both sides were exhausted, but the bishop was finally triumphant and the rebels arms were given up.
