DIFFICULT TASK OF
LONDON. April 26 Latest reports from the Causcasus say that Turks are endeavouring to concentrate between
Trebizond and Erzerum. The Russians captured the valleys and mountains north of Baburt after a series of splendid assults. The operations were of the most difficult order owing to the lack of roads. The snow covered hills compelled the guns to be transported by hand. The Turks are strongly reinforced and desperately resisting the advance of the Russians.
