J It oame ag a shock to tho people of Akaroa last evening, when it was learned that Mr Sweet, the relieving master of the Secondary Department of the Akaroa District High School had died suddenly of heart disease. The late Mr Sweet came from Christchurch to fill the position vacated by Mr A Gray. He was apparently in good health until Saturday evening last, when he was attended by Dr Cantrell. He did not attend school yesterday. The late Mr Sweet was 29 years of age, and oame from Ox ford Bohool. He was accompanied by bis wife, and was staying at the Madeira Hotel. Much sympathy is felt with Mrs Sweet in her sad bereavement.
