Ruft, it will he remembered, was in January last oonvioted oa charges of sly grog selling. The faota are thai; on May 20, 1915, Rua was sentened to three months for sly grog selling, and on five other similar charges was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called npoa. Be served the sentence, and after release began bia old practices, and was ord ered to abow cause why he should not be senteniad on the five ohaages •whereon he had been convicted. He re.fueed to attend the Court. The Mag iafcrafce, U* R W Dyer, therefore heard the evidence, anfl sentenced him to nine months imprisonment;.
