LITTLE RIVER RED CROSS SOCIETY.
The weakly meeting of tho Little River Red Cross Society Was held in t,ba Library, Little River, on March 80th, when there. wa3 a good attend ance. Afternoon tea was provided by Mrs J Humphreys and Mrs Paton. Correspondence was read by the secretary, Mrs J Jones, from the Lady Liverpool fund, re conference held in Wellington at the beginning of the ■r>ontb, and suggestions were made by members &3 to the most suitable articles to be made for the April parcel. It was reported that the sewing done by workers of tbe branch for March included the following artU cles; —22 pyj-iinufi, 12 7 i vests, 4- coatn, 12 night shirts, 6 day shirts, t>2 soldier's bugs. 9 body belts, 48 face cloths, 10 bed jacket?, 8 shorts 1 dressing gown, 1 bag cover J.J. oper .ition cloths, and 39 mpdioine cloths \ Tno committee acknowledge with plfHSine refieipt of £8 from tbe main school children, who ge,ye up their annual trpat and prizes this ye(j,e. It was decided to pay over an ad • rlifcional 5s 2d to the French Red OiOps which makes the total to be paid to that object £28 12h 5d as the result of appeal made on March 14fch,
