ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL MATCH.

An Association football match was played on the Recreation . ground, Akaroa, between a team from the N.Z.T S. Amokura and a team representing No. 69 Company Senior Cadets, Mr Martin of the ship acted as referee. After a fast and interesting game the cadet team won by three goals to one. The scorers for Akaroa were H. Lelievre, F Newton and C Glynan, while F Haliday soored a goal for the ship by a penalty kick. Afternoon tea was provided for tbe players by the Akaroa ladies. Mr McGregor, second engineer of the Amokura thanked the ladies for their entertainment, and three cheers were then given by the sailors.
