ANNUAL GATHERING AT TIKAO BAY.
The Peninsula branch of the New , Zealand Catholic Federation held j their annual picnic on Friday last at ] Tikao Bay in fine weather. Two < lauDobes were required to.carry the t pioniokers serosa the harbour, launches ; IsaviDg from Akaroa and Takamatua. ] Much of the success of thta annual ] funoticn was due to the unt'r'rig efforts of Mr Martin Daly, the energetic secretary of the local branch, A very pleasant day was spent on the r beach and foreshore, and during tbe -j day sports were indulged in. The < pupils'of the Convent Fchool were granted a whole holiday, and at ■ tended the picnic. Following are the • results of the , sports :— Girls 5 and under—U. Brocherie 1, _}.
