FIGHTING AT VERDUN

Asemi-offloial message says:—"The third act in the Verdun fighting is beginning, the enemy's whole efforts being directed to section fighting on the Morthomme pillar of our re* sistance. The conquest of this region will prove singularly obstructive, The position tempted German ambition, <whioh will not sucoeed. TRENCHES REGAINED
A French communique says : "The enemy haßmade co fresh attempt on the West of the Mouse. Our counterattacks at Bethinoourfc and Oumieres recaptured a portion of the trenches. We hold Bethinoourt, Morthomme, the southern edge of Cumiers, wood and Cumiers village. GERMAN SPY DENOUNCED. London, Maroh 15.
There is a strong agitation in Switzerland for the expulsion of the German military attache, Major yon Bismarck, the Press denouncing him as organiser of a widespread spy system.
