A DESPERATE STRUGGLE
Petrograd, March 5,
An official message says that do tails of tbe capture of Bitlia show tbat our troops attacked the Wemy en trenchmeuts id a snow storm, ttufinal charge taking place at three in the morning, The Turkish were driven out at the point of the bayonet, after a desperate resistance. Our troops did not fire a shot. We next attacked tbe attacked tbe artillery, and captured tbe position after stubborn band, to band fighting. All tbe defenders were killed. The pursuit of (he enemy followed immediately. We have now taken twenty Krupp guns of tbe latest type, and captured a large munition depot at Bitlis.
