TROOPER T. McGUIRE.
Mrs McGuire, of Akaroa, received the following telegram yesterday from the Hon Jar_e3 Allen, Miaister of De feoce : —
"Regret to inform you that cable, re ceived this day reports your son 7/1496, Tbomaß McGuire dangerously ill. January 80th—15th General Hospital Alexandria. Please accept my sympathy and hopes for a speedy recovery." TroopnrT McGuire left with the Bixth Rainforcements, and ia well knowo in Akaroa where he is a keen member of the Loyal Good Intent Lodge _________
