RICH PHOSPHATE FIELDS IN EGYPT.
New Zealand farmer soldiers in Egypt have been immensely struok while here on service with tbe value of tbe phosphate deposits. They have seen, at Sofaja Bay, on tbe shores of tbe Bed Sea, what is claimed to be the richest (naturally pulverised) field in the world. A trial shipment of 500 tona has been forwarded to New Zealand.
